The importance of reminding yourself to be in action…

If you don’t take any action, you don’t believe in your future… so make moves in your life as if you were already your future

Dr. Joe Dispenza

We live in a beautiful universe which actually mirrors back to us, that what we are being in the moment. Do you want to experience more love, more abundance, more joy, more aliveness…? Then you have to actually BE more loving, more abundant, more joyous, more alive. And with that I mean, you actually have to generate it from the inside.

And yes, this requires practice generating your state of being. On a moment to moment basis. Now of course, most of us are unconsciously reacting and generating unwanted states of being. So the trick is to recognize this and to start shifting our emotional states. It’s like a little child who learns to ride a bycicle. It will fail and fall down many times, but it will try and try until it succeeds. It’s the same with our emotions. Rewiring our brain to manage ourselves requires repeated moments of training ourselves in our desired way of being. The more we practice this, the better the results will be.

Here are some of my tips and tricks to remind myself to be in action to actually practice generating my desired emotional states:

  • I use reminder notes on my phone that pop-up at certain times in my day.
  • I use reminder notes on my computer screen that remind me to smile and generate my desired way of being.
  • I have reminders in my online task manager (Todoist is by far my most favorite and intuitive task manager. It made my life a lot more efficient and made me have way less stress).

Just begin somewhere and remember that every small step is one step closer to your ultimate goal. Don’t focus too much on the end result, but try to enjoy the practice and the moment. Before you know it, you have been so much busy with your deliberate practice that you have achieved so much within way less time than your mind likes you to belief it takes.

Enjoy your practice… 🙂
